Grade 6 to 12 students attend Sturgis Composite High School in the small town of Sturgis, Saskatchewan Canada.

Learning Improvement Goals
ELA:
To increase students' reading achievement by incorporating the DEAR program 25 minutes weekly;
To use STAR testing to measure that 65% of the students are at or above grade reading level by June 2010.
Math:
By June 2010, at least 70% of the students will be at Apprentice Level or higher (according to the rubric) at problem solving. Problem Solver techniques, communication will be reinforced throughout the year. An exemplar will be administered in May 2010, and results compiled.
Technology:
Increase use of on-line resources for both teachers and students. Each teacher will use a technological aspect per unit of study which will be self-monitored throughout the 2009-2010 school year.
